I had a few things (life) come between me and my project. I've missed my deadline, but I'm still interested in finishing and learning! I'm trying to insert an image to the right of my text and am not getting it? can any one help? The other thing I would like to see is my text enclosed inside of my background image? Normally I would use a wrapper with external css but this won't work for this, the other thing is when I email it there is no background image, I realize I need to post it to a website, but I thought maybe I could include the background image in an email and it would show?

Here's another question that probably seems so very simple to you guys, I have actually never tried to email an html that's suppose to pop up in an email? Do I add some kind of web kit? and how do I actually load that into my email to email it to myself? Or how would I google/bing for reference? you are actually teaching terminology as well as helping with research and develop.

I don't understand the questions you are asking here. Just, please, explain in plain English what you want to do.

However, you keep leaping ahead. You need to create, test and send a simple html-email before you can do anything else.

Thank you so much This site has always been a blessing! knowledge from others has been the greatest for not just myself but so many others, so thank you!

My question is, I tried to upload the small amount of code to my email to see what I could see, experiment..I realized I didn't know what to do. I uploaded the html that I had created, but it didn't show as a newsletter yet. Like when you open your email and there it is in the main content...how do I find information or what words would I use? when you open an email you see this advertisement with color and words and you pass your cursor over it and it connects to an online html. What is this called? You open your email and there it is? Hope that's not too confusing, funny the things you just take for granted and not realize the work, knowledge and sacrifices involved.

nevermind on this one/ my first experiment worked fine, but I attached the file to an email? Back to figuring out alignment and div's for inline css.

ok. ocd here, trying to go to sleep, but just can't get the wheels to stop spinning....I will have to review everything. This is content only, Don't mind the <br> those are there to break up the content for myself for page layout and understanding. I now need to learn about alignment and photo's (img) possibly? and background. Next question; can I do a wrapper? #wrapper, In inline? still don't know how to load it to email to make it pop up when you view your email.? I'm still trying to understand how div's classes and ect work in inline,,,,..how it all falls together .. it's 3+ am here, I'm exhausted and need to rest I really appreciate the tutorials and the help given...inch worm out...sorry forgot to post my code.

Another question; when I use vb or java I can put a (' or /*) on top of my code to identify it for what it's doing, how do I do that in a text doc? so I can refer to it later and identify where I want to make changes?

hey you, I'm so happy to see you and sooooo happy you are doing well! Don't know if you get summer breaks for school there? Our schools are changing. We have year round school and they are taking a 2 week break next week...Seems so odd watching things change, knowing what my grandmother, mom, me and now the next gen. going through?! Do you have kids there in high school who can...

Thanks for that. I posted a reply in both threads, not sure which one you'd look at...
TryParse really is easy and I really have no excuse not to use it but somehow, it just escapes me when I'm actually coding. Meh.

Hey charyl - long time no see. I haven't really been online much either (5 or so minutes here and there just to see what's going on). Year 8 threw heaps more commitments into my life so I am much busier and I don't have as much time to answer as many questions. Still glad to.
