    Posted 4 Oct 2011

Supersloth thanks for your opinion.I actually needed help deciding whether to buy the tablet. But realizing that I was going to fully utilize it i had no second thought. Yeah you're right a laptop is pretty sufficient for most of the tasks but tablet's got its advantage too. If you find it hard to be a rational act and nothing other than just to show off, you have your right to call me a spoiled kid.I don't really bother anyways.

Thanks for the opinions guys. I really appreciate it. However modi123_1, i'm sorry I don't really get your sarcasm and have no idea what you're trying to say, with your whatever puppies or non-mac choices. Maybe try telling stuffs a little more direct next time.

    Thread lock please?

Thank you very much guys. Its clear now. However, to understand why override object class method and implementing your own's, I should be reading about polymorphism, is that right?

That's what I thought too.But since I had the need for a tablet so I've just got my Tab and its pretty neat. Would it be possible though to upgrade to Icecream sandwich on its release?
  5. In Topic: Books suggestions for "Principles of Programming" class

Basic pogramming and OOP is what's taught in Principle Programming. You'll also learn about data types, methods, the most common conditional operators and boolean operators. If you already know how to code that subject will be easy for you. Anyway I don't remember we took up "testing" on Principles but I don't know with you. Well, Head First books are always good. Why not couple your learning of principles with concrete implementations? Learn a language?

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah i'm pretty comfortable with Java right now so i hope i wont have any trouble. Will it go a little deeper to things like encapsulation and inheritence though(and more in this link:http://www.codeproject.com/KB/architecture/OOP_Concepts_and_manymore.aspx)?

Nightfish, I would love to but unfortunately I do not even know the lecturer teaching the class, or any staffs under the school of computer science. Heck i didn't even learned anything about computer science on my first semester though i'm on foundation going to computer science degree.
