  1. In Topic: Reset WordPress password?

    Posted 13 Jun 2012

I know this, the problem is is that I strictly have FTP access to the server. I was assigned this job, after a developer took it and left(without leaving a note, and failing to respond to any attempts at communication). So I am being forced to recover the password through FTP in a php script. :\
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not an issue, simply wanting to explore around with them, I fully understand that. It's a local site ;). For clarification, I'm not an idiot, just wanting to see if possible. Simply put, it would amuse me to see how.

    In other words:
I just wanna see it done.

  5. In Topic: Should I go .net or Java?

    Posted 27 Jan 2012

I would like to say that, the majority of these are likely biased. I will say for more enterprise applications I use .Net since it is very simple and clear, otherwise for smaller contracts I use Java since it is good for getting the job done. I think companies lately, are preferring .Net specifically C# programmers since Visual Studio is easily setup and you can rapidly develop applications in a very easy, professional IDE, whereas Java can make very user friendly applications, requiring more thinking as opposed to coding(if you do it right, in my opinion).

I will admit I prefer .NET to Java but that's how I was taught so, either way, I would recommend a coin flip to decide.
