Hate to say it, but you've been caught a few times. And there's ppl like me who just assume you are checking without any confirmation.

Well I usually don't read comic books (nor manga). Not that I'd have any negative bias, just not enough time on my hands. I'd like to read "Maus", or "Kingdom Come", for example. :P "The Walking Dead" I've skimmed trough, some Batman and Spiderman chapters...

Well, after googling I saw what books he wrote and that specific thing about that one book. I already knew his name though, I don't really know where, but I probably read about him somewhere and it stuck. At home I've got a long list of authors and books I should get to someday. The name is probably there. ^^ Like Asimov - I knew about the guy long before I read any of his (excellent) s...

I mean the Polish translation was by Stefan Wilkosz. ;) When I wrote "original novel" I meant the original version of the novel. Sorry for the confusion.

Jeffrey Archer? I knew the name. Well, I knew he was a politician and a writer, but never really read anything written by him. I see that newer edition of "Shall We Tell the President?" is changed according to inspirations originated from Polish translation of the original novel by Stefan Wilkosz. Well, that might be just enough to get to know it. ;P

...Oh, also, I've actually "read" it in audiobook form, and the guy reading it made a hell of a job with all those different characters, accents, etc. After some time you just get to know who's line is it by the voice he used, he's so good at it. ;)

Ah, yeah, I think "The Lost Fleet" isn't exactly in the same league as "Song...", but still, *I* like it thus far. The main hero is pretty much the ideal military commander brought up to life, but still a human being with doubts and emotions.
