Posts I've Made
Posted 14 Sep 2012Local host would still be Local host if the mysql server is running on the same machine as the web server.
However, if the code was not changed, & was only uploaded, then your 1st step should be contacting the admin (as you are doing), as likely something is blocked or incorrect.
I did and they replied like :
There are no issues with the server settings and all the settings is related with that particular application/software. We cannot provide such support as it is a third party application.
Please let us know if anything needs to be changed at the server end .
they don't want to solve the problem.
i have Failed to establish connection to mysql server message now. the DB is uploaded correctly
password is correct, i copy paste the password from the source code.
when you click on the DB name you will have the tables listed,
but when you go to
information_schema > user_privileges >
the table_catalog is NULL
Posted 14 Sep 2012I have no idea where hides it.. Nocster/BurstNET hides it and I really doubt anyone here will either. You need to go talk to them... read their FAQ.. maybe in their introductory email they sent you or perhaps in their user's forum.
gonna write the admin
Posted 14 Sep 2012where can i find it ?

$link = mysql_connect("localhost", "$username", "$password");
This line.. local host is for when you are on your machine doing the design... when you are talking about your database on your website that's a different thing. You hosting admin panel will tell you what to use.
it didn't tell me, i have changed it to $link = mysql_connect("127.0.0.1", "$username", "$password");
but still no luck
Posted 14 Sep 2012I am guessing your DB's not on "localhost" anymore.. you know.. since it's on your website and all. You may want to investigate that option.
could you please explain in more detail? what do you mean by "your DB's not on "localhost" anymore" are you talking about the phpmyadmin on the host? if yes, the answer is they are localhost too, its printed there
