Oooh! Aaaa! My first ever forum question, after just a few weeks of learning .NET, and I get moved to the advanced discussions. Should I be flattered or very, very afraid?
I think the work-around I briefly described above may be exactly as you suggest, but I am still learning the terminology, so I am not sure. It's the sort of klunky thing I am trying very hard to avoid with .NET. Try/Catch/Throw are such an elegant way of managing user errors that it hurts to not be able to use it.
The bottom line is: Have a I hit an intrinsic problem/limitation in VB.NET, or have I simply done something silly? -
