    Ok, here are the errors, sorry they aren't in the original post. the editing feature was taken away from the new users by the admins because there was some "abuse" of the editing feature. I'm not sure how that would happen and how someone would "abuse" the edit feature without having an already abusive post but whatever, i'm not a mod or admin and I don't have very much say.

    anyway here are the errors as told to me through the console of google chrome;

    file:///C:/Users/Paxton/Documents/Code/simply.js

    Failed to load resource:
    net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND
    (the file is there, I don't know why it says it's not)

    gamedesign.html: Line 11

    Unexpected SyntaxError:
    Unexpected Identifier

    gamedising.html: Line 24
    Uncaught ReferenceError:
    showAnswes is not defined
    (I'm not sure how to define things, like I said I'm new here0

    I don't know what exactly happened, but the browser does not like your semicolons. Maybe you copied and pasted that code from somewhere and they are unicode characters instead of actual semicolons (certain Microsoft products might be responsible for that). Replace all of those characters with actual semicolons. Note the glyphs at the ends of certain lines in the attached screenshot.

    thank you, I will try it out.

    thank you again, it did work. but the reference still isn't working. but then again it's just a library of code types.

    it was a practice thing on html before we moved to css, I just haven't changed it yet.
    anyway my real problem is with the div tags. they aren't doing what I want them to do.
