In Topic: HTML/CSS IMAGE PLACEMENT **PROBLEM**
Posted 25 Mar 2013
I'm in class so I can't test these ideas yet. will try as soon as I get home though. the margin border deletion might work. at the time when all those negatives were put into place, I had no wrapper. it'd be interesting to see what the page looks like once I delete the margin with the wrapper. will post pic.
appreciate all the help so far guys. I'm new to this and my search for code is endless. -

this is called BBCode and requires a BBCode parser to transform it into regular (displayable) HTML code.
So one more language to add to my list. Gotcha. Thanks much. -

Thats what i happens when i change the padding or the margin.
#update { height:273px; width:540px; margin-top:-9px; margin-left: -5px; padding-top:30px; display:inline-block; background:url(images/showcasecontent.jpg); background-repeat: no-repeat; } -

Right now my form is set up not to accept any type of code.(security measure)
I would like it to accept programmed code. kinda like how we use these tags on the form "[code]", "[b]" or "[img]".
These are not codes that would be recognized in a regular html editor, but work just fine on the forum as well as others. I would like this editing method for my forms while im updating my News Feed.
This will enable me to simply post a link, or use [b] to bold something.
I CANT use actual Code because my code blocks actual code and besides that, id rather just not use it. My goal is to make it as simple as possible. -
In Topic: CSS DIV Selection (Div id>div id) possible?
Posted 13 Mar 2013
When I edit the top margin of news i get this:
#news { margin-top:10px; display:inline-block; height:273px; width:540px; }
As you can see, it pushed the whole width down, instead of just the block im selecting.
