    Oh wow! useful tip. But I was referring to web browser history.


    Wow! Glad I can read. :)

    Nothing I have tried to do, but in this link, you can apparently (with Chrome) put the browser history to a file. Don't know if that helps any, but its all I have at the moment. :)

    Any distribution that you switch to is going to have its differences from Red Hat. Its just a matter of overcoming the different nuances. I use CentOS at work and am comfortable with it. On the flip side, I use Debian at home. Its up to you. I recommend trying a live cd version and checking it out.

    Well, depending on your shell, we will assume bash (which is default on most systems), there is a file in your home directory called .bash_history. Your command history is stored in that file.

    You can simply cat that file, if you wish, your search it.
