Cool article modi. One of my favorite assignments was using genetic algorithms to solve the knapsack problem. It is really amazing how natural selection and other biological traits can be assimilated into algorithms. -

Now I have saved a few drives and computers for people which of course made me and them very happy. However my happiest achievement was one of the simplest things ever.
My elderly next door neighbor could not figure out how to get her webcam and skype installed. So I went over there and installed it in like 10 minutes (nothing broken). When I got her set up she asked me to teach her to use skype. I showed her and got her connected. Then she had me pull up someone. It was her son who lives in Washington we live in Florida so quite a bit away. She actually started crying she was so happy to see him. I was so happy to make that nice old lady so happy. -

>The "thing" does not work.
I swear if someone describes a problem to me starting with "The thing does not work." and never giving anymore detail. I am going to go crazy.
I should probably have made this more detailed. >Users never give enough detail. -

Just so you know md5 is no longer secure and is not safe for encryption. Look up cryptographic hashes they are nice alternatives. -

Thank you for the update that is much shorter. this is just an example.Personally I dont use the generated keys. I take a password from the user and use the crypto classes secure random byte generator to generate a salt and hash those to get a key.
