It is a very important language for the future and I would be willing to contribute a few how-to segments for it. I think that we have been throwing this idea around since before the release of py3k maybe now we are finally getting somewhere with the idea.

I agree with firebolt. It would be very annoying, I think. Google has a list of suggestions for searches when I'm typing in exactly what I want to look for. If I wanted something else, I'd type that. All Snippets and Tutorials are reviewed by hand. They are also checked for quality and suitability by a Team Member who knows the language it is submitted in, which is why sometimes there is a delay to on the decision.

Extending the thanks to PMs would make it less helpful, I think. People send all kinds of stupid stuff in PM's. You don't want to get thanked for that. I think the thanks should show (generally) how helpful that member is with programming issues. It shouldn't have anything to do with something stupid that was sent in a PM. Or even, like Martyr said, with something helpful that was sent in a PM. If you really want to help, post it on the message boards so everyone can benefit from it, not just one person.

Unfortunately, this is not always so. There have been cases when even PMs from admins were blatantly ignored and the inappropriate behavior continued. Therefore, we sometimes reach that point when more strict measures are applied.

A closed thread usually means that the discussion went so far away, that there is no way to bring it back on topic. We try not to do this too often, but it all depends on the participating members.
