Creating Your Own Team Project Blog

Icon 1 Comments
I've been asked a few times how to create a blog with multiple editors, or a "Team Blog". If you have a project that you'd like to blog about, and still want to keep your own personal blog, you can have up to 5 blogs here at In each of those blogs, you can assign "Editors" that may also post entries to the blog. To do this, follow these steps:

(You'll need to create a blog if you don't have one before doing any of these steps)
  • Go to "My Profile"
  • Click "Edit My Blog"
  • Click "Options" Next to the blog you wish to make a project/group blog
  • Click "Edit Settings"
  • Halfway down the page is an "Editors" box
  • Add 1 username on each line.

When that person goes to "Edit My Blog" they'll see your blog and have permission to add entries and such.

This is an easy way of putting together a project blog or team area. You may also change the "Blog View Permissions" (drop down menu right under your blog title in the "Edit Settings" screen) to "Private Club" which will let you assign up to 20 (let me know if you need more) members that may access your blog. And if you really want it private, you can set your blog to "Private" and nobody but you will be able to see it.

Well, one of my editors tried to post an entry, but it said he was only an editor and not a publisher, so he couldn't post it.
