We know that you like badges. So from now on, the better your reputation, the cooler the badge. Well, it's hard to define 'cool' but you can now hunt for a new badge once you hit a specific reputation limit.
The badges and their reputation thresholds are presented below:
0 - 29
30 - 99
100 - 499
500 - 999
1,000 - 2,999
3,000 - 3,999
4,000 - 4,999
5,000 - 5,999
6,000 - 6,999
7,000 - 9,999
10,000
I would really like to see a Ninja badge around, but time will show. The badge associated with your current reputation can be found when viewing your profile, right under the reputation indicator.

100,000 should be pirate, not ninja, I'm just throwing that out there.

Don't you think that 100,000 is too high? If you receive 10 rep's per day it would take 27.3 years to pass it.

100,000 seems like a great badge but even PBL has 2k reps...long way to go!

Ok I bit my tongue with the icons on the front page, I bit my tongue on the white d on the orange background... but it has gone too far and I just have to say it. These badges are the ugliest thing I have ever seen! Can we get a web designer in the house to create something more kick ass looking? Even if it is along the lines of the simple mentor/expert/helper badges etc.
Please save this board from hideous graphics! hehe Doesn't even make me want to get to the next level. ;P

I agree, the scale needs some tuning.

Reputation is retarded anyways. You could help people with really advanced questions all day long and earn little rep because the questions are obscure. Then you can help fucktards with bubble sort in the Java forum all day long and rack up crap loads of rep because everyone is looking for that. Don't make no sense. So basically reputation comes down to the exposure level of your contributions which will generally be higher for simple questions and lower for more advanced. JUST SAYIN.
