After a nice long vacation (belated honeymoon, part 1) tasting wines in Napa and Sonoma, and touring San Francisco, I'm back in town and ready to get back to work. I managed to slip in a little Java while on the road. I read a good bit more of Java Concurrency in Practice, a book I've been working on lately. It's quite good and very enlightening. I highly recommend it - especially to those who think they have a good grasp on concurrent programming in Java. I'll probably make some blog entries about it at some point.

But it's been a very very long day, so it'll have to wait. If you live in the San Francisco bay area then you'll know the pain I experienced as I tried to drive up the 101 from Sonoma to the Airport today (the San Rafael bridge was closed). It's about a 1.5 hour drive. It took 4+ hours. And it was only that short because I found a local who was willing to lead me though some back roads (many of which were closed due to high water) to get around the closed bridge. And when I got to the airport the flight was delayed. And if that's not enough, when I got to my home airport, my car's left back tire was flat and my battery was dead. At least it's Friday.
