So I decided to traverse the vast repositories of knowledge on the internet in search of some good useful extensions for Visual Studio 2010.
Some of these will help you organize your code, others will help with coding itself and some are purely for eye-candy.
All are 100% free unless noted. I hope you guys enjoy the list and share with your fellow developers. :)
PowerCommmands
This extension gives you all sorts of magic right at your fingertips by right clicking nodes in the Solution Explorer.
My favorite feature? The Format Document on Save / Remove and Sort Usings. Hm-mmm. Now those are some useful options. Remove and sort only works on C# documents, sorry VB-ettes.
AnkhSVN
This extension inserts a Subversion source control provider inside of Visual Studio directly. How cool is that? Give it a shot, maybe you'll like it better than TortoiseSVN.
StructureAdornment
This little extension will give you some nifty lines to help you identify blocks easier. Also if you hover over one of the lines it displays context that is out of the view pane. So useful!
VS10x Code Map v2
This is probably my favorite out of all the addons. Is displays a map of your source code file, and makes navigating to a bit of code as easy as clicking a hyperlink. You kinda need two monitors to really see this puppy speed you up, but I'm using it on my laptop and I'm really enjoying it.
CodeRush XPress
The free version gives you a ton of useful functionality to VS. WARNING: Doesn't work on Express versions of Visual Studio.
devColor
Sutil and very useful if you are a web developer. This extension will draw a small colored line under every hex color you have in your code. Intense!
