Google Chrome OS, or, How I learned to Love the...

Internet.

Google has, for a long time, been one of my favorite companies. So much open source, at such good quality. The search engine rocks, the web browser rocks, the Phone OS rocks... Now, what shall be said of Google Chrome OS?

After doing a bit of reading, I have decided to try this new OS as soon as it comes out. Call me a Google praiser, but honestly, this is a company that generally knows what it is doing. Google seems to be rethinking the modern OS, and trying to show people the power of the internet. I have taken it upon myself to find as many web applications as I can to replace my current computer ones. Gmail has taken the place as my email handler, Google Docs will slowly become my document writer, meebo has become my general chat application, and more are hopefully on their way.

Obviously, there are some things that are not going to be able to be replaced, such as a media player or skype (for now) or a programming IDE. But these things are sure to come in the future =)

With this and Google Wave (wave.google.com) I think this will be a very eventful year for Google Indeed.
