Ktasks -- A task manager for linux built with Qt

Icon 2 Comments
So Sunday I decided to be adventurous and learn Qt, which went really well.

I have designed a GUI Application with Qt to serve as a "task Manager." It's in an alpha stage right now, functional to the point where you can refresh the list and kill processes.

As you can see, it is quite rudimentary.

What I am wondering is if there is any interest in an application like this? I believe it could be great for the novice linux user, especially when just switching from windows.

Also, feature requests would be valuable as well.

EDIT: Given the existence of such apps as htop, I will probably not continue development for this application. It's fine with me though, this was really only a facet through which I could continue my familiarization with Qt. I hope to be able to come up with and develop other service applications that will make life easier for the new or everyday linux user.

Currently this will work on any distro that supports the unix commands 'ps' and 'kill'.
