C# Class and inheritance example

If what you really need is an explaination of the concepts of classes as the title suggests, maybe this will help:

Think of objects in coding just as you would objects in the real world.

A Dodge Ram is an object.
It is made up of smaller objects: Engine, doors, tires
Each of those is made up of smaller objects: Bolts, pistons, etc.

Example of not having the life skills to be a programmer

It doesn't matter if you have the intellect to be a coder if your ego is so frail that you can't take criticism.

There seem to be a lot of young people / rookie coders out there that have not yet really grown up. I think our society is breeding a generation of people that expect it to be the job of everyone else to blow rainbows and...

Stop and enjoy life

Wife: Honey, please go to the market and buy 1 carton of milk. If they have eggs, bring 6.

I came home with 6 cartons of milk.

Wife: Why on Earth did you buy 6 cartons of milk?

Sunset Eclipse over the bay

I shot this 20may12 at the start of the eclipse. We didn't get to see all of it here because we are too far South. But it made for a rather cool sunset. The flock of birds are pelicans.

Does nobody know the difference between a question and a statement?

Why I sometimes avoid getting involved with new members. (depending on their question)

We commonly get people asking about how to hack other people's software.
We tell them we don't do that, don't help with that, etc. then lock the thread. That's just how it goes.

Then someone like this just has to go and spoil it for the rest of the new students:

Multiple choice quiz homework

The homework logic entry has been updated to include how to start designing a multiple choice quiz question. Here's a hint: The GUI is not first. Let's look at how to build a game engine first and the GUI last.
