Technology Expo

I went to a technology expo hosted on Fort Hood today and I had a pretty good time. There were over 30 various companies there ranging from IBM to an office supply dealer. I saw some very interesting (possibly "new"?) technology. Not to mention the free stuff. :-) Pens, notepads, you name it. I found it quite beneficial since my graduation date is rapidly approaching. Why do companies send sales people rather then the people who actually made the product they're selling? I would have found it absolutely fascinating to talk directly to a Suns microsystems engineer (to the expo's credit, there was a Cisco engineer there and that was great!)
