Started Drafting on Personal Project

Why can't we have personal blogs!!!! ;__; Now people are gonna laugh at me v__v.

Anywho...

I had an idea in my head of a little RPG project I was gonna start on. Today I started actually drafting out the ideas and class stats. It's not finished, but I got through most of the mid-level job classes. By job classes, I mean I'm making the system sorta like Final Fantasy Tactics, as far as the job evolution and job points go. My character stats have less fields then a normal RPG for now since I'm still n00bish at making RPG's, but I'm sure they will be more down the road. For simplification purposes, I have a total of 6 stats: LVL (level), JLVL (job level), STR (strength), END (endurance), DEX (dexterity), and LUCK (I wonder what that could stand for :P) I have also decided to change my tile/sprite size back to 16x16 because my main character looks like a girl in 32x32. lol.

I am going to keep my project reletively open code, so people can critique my program or learn with me. ^___^ Not like I'm going to sell it or anything. Heh.

As for my game itsself, I haven't really thought of a real storyline or anything, but I do have something in mind. I need for it to stew in my brain a bit and develop. Heh heh. I just know the main character is named Sebastian, because thats a sexy name, and he will look like a cross of Laguna and Vaine. :P

This is all I have so far. I have in mind for the future: Ninja, Gambler, Alchemist, Summoner, Oracle, Crossbowman and/or Sharpshooter, Dragoon, Samurai, and some specialty classes with bonuses. I think I'm going to leave it like this until it's more developed. The hp and mp will be developed more when I get around to the skills/magic planning.

Descriptions of Stats:
LVL: characters level
JLVL: character job level
STR: determines attack/magic strength
END: determines defense/hp
DEX: determines rate of flee/evade attacks
LUCK: determines chance of critical hit/item drop rate

Descriptions of Jobs:

Swordsman: basic fighting unit. All brawn.
Chemist: throws crap at you.
White Mage: casts protective magic and cures
Black Mage: makes things go BOOM with magic
Archer: shoots stuff with arrows
Diplomat: has a silk tongue. Can get enemies to join you. Kinda like a mediator
Knight: charismatic swordslinger
Lancer: stabs people
Red Mage: a hermaphradite of jobs (fighter and mage)
