I read the entire topic he posted and I can't believe what I'm seeing. I mean the guy clearly is putting in effort, he's explaining what his problem is, and where he is having trouble; which is much more than 60% of the users generally post.
In the C# subforums we get topics like 'helpbookdatabase' or 'create airline program'.
You know we get irritated, but still most of the times we politely ask the user to post some of his code and where he is having trouble. Even if 99% of those users don't come back, that 1% makes it worth it to ask for more information.
I'm kind of shocked to see a Moderator acting so rudely towards a members that's trying to better himself by learning a new language.
His logic is if he doesn't understand the API, GTFO. Basically.
Then my topic regarding Lists<> should be closed as well don't you think? I mean, there is a documentation regarding them, but you see, everyone tried to help me and in the end succeeded.

I think that moderator should apologize to the user in private. But hey, that's just me.

This may be a little late, but I also don't condone PBL's tone. He should have stated his objection so that it doesn't antagonize the topic poster. Furthermore, the topic was useful and informative, and therefore was closed unjustly.

Well, we then weigh the scales of experience vs an innocent poster.
