VB.NET and SQL Database

Posted 21 April 2009 - 08:17 AM

I am creating a application that uses a sql database stored on the HDD..
The database will be distributed with the application...
but i do not want others to steal data from the database... Is it possible?

Will the application run even if the user doesn't have a SQL server installed?
Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

When you create the distributable version from express it should package everything together, including the files needed for the computer to be able to use that database.

As far as people stealing the information, if its that important and not just program data maybe you should look into encrypting the data when you insert it into the database...
