Ummm.. Goods with Jeremy Piven. Essentially, he plays the same character as he does in Entourage just in different clothes. Not too bad, I was chuckling throughout it.

Peggy Sue Got Married, from Frank Coppola. Very good, but the character that Nicolas Cage played just needed to be punched in the face... that voice... oh God that voice.

Theater: Tron. Loved it. Loved the soundtrack. Yeah I'm one those people that will be listening to a lot more daft punk. As to sloth's claim that the movie seemed slow, I can see the viewpoint but I think the score influenced that greatly, I think it served well to mellow/intensify scenes. I do agree with the Tater Tot Theory podcast that there were a lot of subplots and overtones that could've been better explored (jilted first son thing, the creator/creation aspect, the myriad of tech topics brought up on TTT) It seemed like a lot of great ideas for more material instead got summed up in cute one-liners.
</review> TL;DR Saw it, great soundtrack, could've been deeper.
Home: Shutter Island. I like it, although I am not (I usually get flamed for it) a Martin Scorsese fan, I thought this a really good movie. After this past year for DiCaprio, I might lift my usual immediate knee-jerk disdain for movies that he is in.

Pontypool - I usually don't like zombie flicks. But this one was interesting due to the perspective it was given from and the way it was handled in that respect. The zombies though aren't your usual type of zombies. Also the main thing I liked was most of the scary parts had NO gore... classic suspense. The only gory stuff towards the middle end wasn't even trying to be scary and more was commentary on reactions caused by fear.
Not great, but still a zombie film a zombie hater like myself could actually enjoy.

Grown Ups
I enjoyed it. Wasn't as bad as most people i talked to made it out to be.

The Book of Eli.
Even though there was a Christian Theme. It presented the arguemtent of religion in a light that even this Asatruar could respect.

I don't know, saying "The Book of Eli" has religious themes is to me like saying "Fahrenheit 451" has religious themes. Actually I find "The Book of Eli" to be heavily inspired by "Fahrenheit 451" (anyone who hasn't read this... well... ermm... don't they like require in US schools now a days?)
Yeah the character has memorized "The Holy Bible", and they fight to protect is at all costs, because the knowledge contained in it is viewed as 'powerful'. But just like in Fahrenheit 451 I see it as a "knowledge is power". The theme is only in that it is the Bible as opposed to the doctrine of any other organization. You could easily replace the bible with any number of doctrines, and the movie would hardly change:
The Qur'an
The Torah
The Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights
Text by any famous philosophers like Plato, Confucius, etc.

I watched The Other Guys and Killers last night. I enjoyed Killers because well I like Katherine Hyegal or whatever, the other guys was lacking throughout most of the movie.
