The mason jar of mercury I collected from all the old thermometers in the house.. I used to play with as a kid when I was bored... that's in the back of the closet for sure.. I take it out now and then for nostalgia's sake.

I'm not exactly sure if there is any words that are quite as disturbing as those.

LOL. The precursor to those were Wacky Packs. I had all the first run at one point. Also have the first run of Star Wars cards somewhere. I recall the gum in those packs was brittle and could puncture flesh.

I still have a steel slinky. A compressed spring made of sharp flat wire of type they put on top of prison walls. Great kid's toy, that.

Pokemon games have been and always will be: THE SHIT.
I don't know why people associate it with immature little fanboys, maybe because of the show, but they're games that will never be forgotten by me.
The show and the games are hardly related.
But, I really do love the games, and I think I always will.

Because us older geeks played D&D & other pencil & paper RPGs. Their younger brothers seemed to play the card games. That's why I always though it got looked down upon.

Don't get me wrong, I liked the original Pokemon and Gold/Silver games. There's just something disconcerting when someone says it's the reason they are who they are today.

And sloth said once that he caught em' all. I'm just too lazy to search for that thread but it was the one where WMIII23 or whatever made a thread about Pokemon.
