Countdown timer for aspx

Posted 10 May 2009 - 09:16 AM

I really need some help here. I'm new at this and would like a timer that countdown a label in a webpage. The time will be set from user input. And the user input comes from a string in page_load like this. The string is being sent from another page, so i get it from a QueryString, i have tested that i got the correct string.

protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
				if (!IsPostBack)
						string blindsMinute = Request.QueryString["blinds"];

What i would like is to convert the string to an int, no problem there either.

But how can i use timer to count down, lets say 10 minutes and the label will show like this. 10:00 and counting down.

When the countdown is complete i need another label to be set to ++ for each time the countdown is complete, and the timer will countdown from the user input again what is still 10:00.

Is this possible to handle with javascript, so the server side wont be working too much.

Any answer would be at help.

Thank you.

Javascript would be your best bet. You will find many Javascript countdown timer examples that are pretty simple to implement.
