We are thinking about starting up a D.I.C. Podcast. For those who don't know what a podcast is, here
is a little explaination:

What we need from you, are ideas for what you would like to hear about.

What format you would like. What sort of segments you would like. etc.

Throw out ideas, we are listening.

Also throw out if you are an expert in your field and would like to contribute.

Podcasts are very cool, we've been thinking about starting to use RSS and podcasts with our website as well. Obviously, I would prefer an MP3 format because of the low file space, easy downloads, and compatibility for those shitty mp3 players that only play mp3's. I think updates about thinks like new important hardware releases, new version of things such as photoshop\final cut\flash, etc. Also, updates and annoincments with new features installed into DIC, maybe even some info about how bragging rights have improved and whatnot would be cool.

Oh, right now its looking like there will be a live icecast feed, so you can tune in with your favorite media player, xmms, winamp, etc

Then after that, the stream will be archived as a podcast

grr... in theory .... My wife got a hum in one of her recordings using the new headset which is exactly the reason why I went USB in the first place -- to bypass hum induced by the laptop power circuitry. Turns out she had to unplug the power and run the lappy on battery to get a decent recording. Strange and lame. But, with that workaround in place apparently it's decent quality now.

So far it looks like you, me and Chris' orgasm are the only DIC sentients interested in podcasting...

I don't really have a mic or anything, so if you guys wanted me to write out answers to any questions and have other people broadcast them or anything then i'm down but thats really all i can do as of this moment in time.

mics are cheap, $ 5.00 at your local Walmart will get you a basic mic, $ 14.00 will get a nice logitech headset like I use...
