Typing habits

Posted 12 June 2009 - 06:39 AM

I noticed that when I type I tend to tilt my head to the right. I also found that I sit on the very front of my chair with my ankles crossed underneath the chair. I thought this was odd, considering most hardcore people on the computer lounge back in big comfy chairs blah blah blah. I sit the same when I eat too. My family all think I'm wierd. I thought maybe the way I tilt my head had something to do with the way I think, like how a liar looks to the left. I dunno.

Do you have "strange" habits/rituals/positions/etc that you do when you are on the computer?

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

I don't have any rituals, but I hate "big comfy chairs." I'd rather just have a wooden dining room chair.

Well I'm generally always sat at an angle straight up. I never used to, but I just got a new chair for £172 that has MEMORY FOAM IN IT. It's actually pretty awesome, not sure if I'd say it's worth the money, but it's definitely the best chair I've ever sat in.

I used to sit on my own legs, shoes off, even when I was in the office (sometimes).

Anyway, that's how I type 116WPM, sat up straight.

I don't know. Its winter ie. cold so I may be trying to preserve heat. But other things would probably be a bent back (not good) and crossed legs.

I generally sit resting my head on the shoulder.
I stop only after my neck starts feeling stiff.

I sit in my chair and try as hard as physically possibly not to have my back at an angle, because I really don't want to turn 20 and be so bent over that I can look straight down and see asshair.

When I'm on the computer/typing I tend to keep one leg down and the other one up. So kind of like in a half Indian Style type of thing. It's just the most comfortable position for me I guess.

Feet outstretched, legs wide open. I'm a whore. I also slouch a lot, and when I start typing really fast, I start to move my body with it. I'm a strange whore.

I can't stay still while I type so I'll usually shake my leg or if I can't do that, then my head will start to twitch or something. But I usually change positions often while I'm typing.
