Studying Overseas

Posted 12 June 2009 - 11:44 AM

Hey Guys,

I'm studying a BSc in Computing in september but after this i'm really interested in going over to the states to study CS, i was just curious whether anyone had done this (Moved to the states to study) and/or what is needed to do so (e.g. qualifications, costs etc..)

Cheers,

Tommyflint

I haven't done it, but my school has a big studying abroad program. Most people who do it though, take one or two major courses and the rest are just liberal arts.

So, you probably won't learn too much CS over there. What you do learn though, will be just as valuable. You'll learn a lot about yourself and what you're capable of. Everyone I know who has done something like this said the experience changed the for them better.

I don't know how much it costs, but it's not cheap. You can get loans for it though just like you would for normal college.

Hi
I am an international student in Washington DC right now. I am originally from Germany.
I can recommend it BUT you cannot work so money is a HUGE issue, also insurance is a pain in the ass also.

i will finish my Bachelors in September and will be happy to go back home or England, Europe etc. but i am done with the United States.

If you have any questions just send me a message i will be more than happy to help u out.

Peace out,

Markus
