Desktop Keyboard and Mouse Capture

Post icon  Posted 14 June 2009 - 09:46 PM

Hello All,

I am a newbie to this forum. I searched across a lot to find a way in VB.net how to capture the keyboard and mouse events scoping to the whole computer. Basically what I want to do is make a keyboard and mouse macro recorder application, so that the regular job of starting the same programs again and again everyday might be automated.

So far I found some windowsHook Dll which provides a way to hook the keyboard and mouse events (clicks). However, my application would require capturing the mouse movements along with the clicks. Also, it should be able to capture the delay between clicks and mouse movements (program loading times).

I want to just ask:
1. Is there any library or way to create such desktop macro recorder?
2. Any DLL of VB.net inbuilt functionality which can help doing so?

Thanks in advance

But hotkey is not what I am looking for. Hotkey would be to bind one key of the keyboard or mouse to a specific task like starting of an application or Launching notepad, etc.

What I am looking here is to automate the whole user actions in the same way as he/she has done it after starting my application.

In short a simple redo of all the actions done before scoping the whole desktop.
