lol, that's the infamous Nigerian Scam Email.
I used to get a couple of those a few years back.
I know you're not stupid but don't even think of contacting the guy. If you follow the newspapers, you'd know that a large number of people get conned by Nigerians like this.

Remember, if it's too good to be true, it probably is. If this was real, all the dumbasses who already replied to the email would've gotten all the money.

Well I rarely get these on my inbox. The only spam I do get in my inbox (even gmail) is when people forward e-mails like "Forward this to 20 of your friends to get a free laptop". I wonder when these guys will learn its just spam. The laptop e-mail (Sony Ericsson) gave model numbers which actually belonged to cellphones. Cellphones which aren't made anymore

Hehe 419 scams - gotta love em!
There's loads of sites all over the net dedicated to embarrassing the people who try to pull these scams off - photo's of hardened criminals posing with fish on they're heads makes for fits of giggles, I highly recommend it. Checkout 419 eater for a good laugh
I wouldn't consider playing along with these scams though - leave that to the people who are willing to dedicate they're time and money to doing it "safely".
