Just got finished weeding the Squash/Zucchini beds out back (the only vegetables that dont have a raised bed). Damn weeds (On a high note my Hubbard Squash plant has 5 Squash on it)

@LoveIsNull: Nothing illegal, I have peas, beans, carrots, 4 types of lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers, jalapenos, banana peppers, habanero peppers, beets, then some herbs like sage, basil, cilantro and parsley

I have a big garden every Summer, then we freeze/can vegetables to use during the Winter

It is always good to grow your own. I think people really should strive to be as self sufficient as possible. This includes things like composting and growing your own vegetables.
Unfortunately my area has had so much rain this summer it washed a lot of seeds away and did some other damage to plants growing around my house but there are still plenty of tomatoes ripening in the garden, green and red leaf lettuce, broccoli just harvested because it appears one already went to flower even though it wasn't extraordinarily full. Some cabbage if the pests leave it be. Lot's of blueberries this year though, and several wild raspberry bushes are growing around. Strawberries too, but they also appear to have suffered and just aren't bearing any fruit.
