Since they didnt try to sneak the flag, the EFF and others look like crazy fools with conspiracy theories and such.
Stupid senate, I wish a dark sith lord would dissolve it once and forall.

It is not naive to be unaware of the EFF and similar organizations, nor is it a crime not to pay attention to politics. Having said that, I always encourage people to be aware of the world around them.
Essentially, the EFF is an organization (and there are many) dedicated to trying to preserve (or in some cases, define) various rights and freedoms as they apply to digital rights. In the grand scheme of mediums, the ether (internet or whatever you want to call it) is fairly new...the laws that had been previously defined to cover situatons do not always apply in a black and white sense when it comes to digital matters. It's a complicated subject, and most people have their own opinion about it. Everyone has a right to think for themselves. No one can tell you how to feel (or shouldn't), although they may wish to try and convince you. You should educate yourself (if you want to) and make your own decision.
My own opinion: Information wants to be free.
