IIS Directory listing denied

how to display my web project in a web browser..what i have done..i open the IIS and create virtual directory..and when i want to display on web it show me Directory listing denied...why it happen..i really don't know..plez..anybody help me...

Expand the respective web site.

Right-click on the directory that is giving this error (if it’s the main URL, just right-click on the web site), select Properties.

Select the Documents tab, check the box for “Enable default content page”

Click the Add button, and add the index page that you’re trying to browse to.

Looks like an XML error to me. Can you verify that file is clean XML code?

what do you mean by clean XML code?
the code are provide to me when i start design the page..

actually when i run from vb.net, it run without an error..but when run from the localhost it show an error to me...i really don't know why it happen..anybody can help me...
