hello experts, i'm having a problem while installing Red Hat Linux AS!! when running setup it asks about boot loader. I have 2 hardisks. obviously one will be /hda and the other /hdb
but although i set the hdb(on which am going to setup red hat) the default boot loader, after installation boot options dont show up and launches winXP directly(/hda1 i have 2 partitions FAT32)
i hardisk is maxror and other is quantu, fireball.
can u help??

It would seem that you installed the bootloader to the MBR of the second disk, your bios is prolly set to boot from the first disk first.
Try booting off the second disk by setting it first in bios, and see if it is there, then you can use grub to set it up on the MBR of the first disk.

Another thing: Can you please post all commands for the terminal and their uses.I can't understand by typing help!!

You may want to pick up a book called Linux in a nutshell basically it is every command and all the switches explained. teh first 400 pages are commands. far too much to retype here.
I paid like 34 for it at barnes and noble a few years ago.
Amazon has it for about $27US for the forth edition, or the 3rd edition can be had used for less then 4 bucks
