Scope and Limitation

Posted 30 July 2009 - 07:20 AM

Hi..I'm currently working on my proposed inventory system for a Book Center, I'm still submitting my paperworks and I don't really understand this 'scope and limitation' for an inventory system, could anyone give me a few examples of scope and limitation in relation to an inventory system?
Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

scope...
What is the system going to cover and how.
Scope Creep...
What happens to most programmers when doing a project and have that really great idea, or when the client/boss/customer says but I want it to do this and that and the other also.

Scope defines the boundries of what the programmer must provide to meet the requirements of the system.

Limitations are also tied into scope as, as a programmer you are not going to create a new robot to check in inventory as it is recieved or to autonomously do a nightly inventory...

Limitations of system as how the system can help or lacks in the ability to prevent shrinkage.

Good Luck
