That's how I got my print server and file server is from computer parts left over from various upgrades

I'm probably building a DDR3 machine at the end of this year - you can bet your ass my "old" quad-core with 6 GB of RAM is getting relegated to server duty - game server, file server, print server, etc.

In no2's eyes Ubuntu doesn't count. 
On topic - I am looking for old computer parts now to build some machines to throw some different distros on and build print/file servers. I gave my old lappy and old Hp away.

Use puppy linux, turned my old 700MHz pc into a workable one plus many server programs for *nix come preloaded.
