And thank YOU for holding the competition! I'm afraid I wasn't able to dedicate enough time to this to be very competitive, but it was a lot of fun!

In 48 hours i could only do the first one and very few lines of the last one. i didn't submit the last one. Well but my first one is a great piece of code! It can handle basic punctuations and many more. I didn't try to use any pre-C++ codes. Cause they're killing my code godness
. So my code looks something like hundereds of lines but i think it is great. But there is one bad thing it can't handle Spanish ! and ? (the top-down ones) hehe cause i made it a console app and console (dos) can't handle spanish thingies
. I know i can't win anything. But i had loads of fun

We tried to model this competetion after competetions from the ACM (association of computing machinary) where you have a team of 3 using only 1 computer solving around 8 of these problems in 6 hours.
So anyone going into college who likes these sort of things, look into the local ACM chapter at your school, just be prepared. And in person competetions are tons more fun that what you can do on the intarweb

I took part in a marathon once where we had 24hr to do a website and we got a topic at the beginning of the marathon. Had to bring your comp to the hall, LAN-like, and it was awesome.. all these amatours and proffesionals mingling and sharing ideas and helping each other out...
I regret now that i didn't find more time this weekend.. but I still had fun doing what I did do

This competition was really fun!
As I am in Europe I could only start a bit late, although I tried to stay up playing ut2k4, but finally went to bed just an hour before starting
Saturday was full of mandatory fun family programs, so had to steal a couple of hours during the day here and there to code the solutions.
Anyway, thanks for the challenge, and I was really missing the problems after the competition ended! Don't you want to make a longer competition, like giving a bigger problem every week or so for 2 months? That might also eliminate timezone advantages!
