Working video

Posted 13 August 2009 - 11:08 PM

Here's my problem:

I'm using dreamweaver 8 to make html pages. I'm opening a video in one of the pages, but it doesn't run in most of the computers I've tested it. I tried to make the windows media player as default player but apparently it doesn't work.

How can I make a html page that opens the video with specific player? And that would work for every computer?

What kind of video? Because if its something simple and does not have to look extremely professional you could upload to youtube and just embed their player.

Agreed. Youtube is by far the easiest way to embed video into your site. Other than that you could use PHP/ lightbox or another framework for playing it. I think youtube works the best especially since it offers HD now.

Cheers

Once you're video is on youtube, look in the right hand column underneath the info text. There are two little text fields, url and embed. copy the code in the embed text box onto your html page.
