Mozilla Firefox won't open.

I'm sorry if I posted this topic in the wrong forum.

When I try to run firefox It never shows up.
I re-installed to see if that would help. It opened the first time after the re-installation. But after that I hasn't opened.

Can someone help me fix this?

Can you see firefox.exe in the process listing?

Will it reappear if you force end the task and restart?

Did you end the process firefox.exe and retry?

Did you reboot? This will help (usualy).

Did you try:
menu>run>firefox.exe

If you have killed the process and restarted firefox and it still won't launch plus you have rebooted, a reinstall of Firefox is next and will most likely fix the problem,

Maybe your computer got infected from watching all that dirty pr0n. Defrag disk, clean registry, check computer for viruses, malware, etc...

After you did all those try opening firefox again. If that doesn't work, create another user, log in as that new user and try to run firefox from there.

Does it start in safe mode?!

If not, reinstall it in safe mode, try to start it again.

If it does, then there's probably something hooked onto an application that's monitoring firefox.exe and attaching itself to it.. This monitor would be running fine in "normal" mode but not in safe mode (since most stuff is disabled). Turns out you need a better anti-virus then, get G-Data.. The best antivirus available (according to several comparisons with a 99.98% detection rate).

If it doesn't............. Reformat (or just reinstall the OS component, which ever feels better).
