The reason i say that america idolizes communism is because, in brute fact, our education system loves to teach that communism is a perfect system. You will find that most highschool and college textbooks, either totally based on the teachings of communism or in part, begin with the line "Communism is a perfect system." It is actually fascinating how many people will recite that very sentence, even though it has very little meaning.
Some of these books will elaborate, "Communism works perfect in theory", again, this has very little meaning.
Every time I hear this line recited i just want to say "I wonder, what do you think the 3 million people killed during the height of communism in the USSR would have to say about that?"
It is quite obvious that communism is not a perfect system, yet for some strange reason, america likes to teach an abstract version of communism and then make abstract assumptions about it. I am still not quiet sure as to why this is done, but i would assume that it is done to agree with the democratical views of the 1930's leading into World War II.
I still find it very ironic that american loves to say "Communism is perfect" and still finds time to denounce socialism and nazism. The irony lies in the fact that communism is all about controlling your own people, where as socialism is all about forcing your views on to others. Which sounds more like america's point of view of "spreading democracy" in a militaristic fashion (in most cases)
I am not critisizing any aspect of the american political machine but simply how un-educated people are about communism, or, how people are unable to see the irony.
but congrats on your ability to steriotype, you've proved so much.
