GUI implementation into HTML

Posted 07 September 2009 - 06:27 PM

Hi,

I have created a gui and i wan to add it into my website. I do not want to create an applet.
Is there a way to do it?

I have actually tried using javascript to get input from the web and method call my java. But have some file reading error even though i created and signed my jar file.
I post my queries in the javascript forum but got no reply.
In the end, i troubleshoot it myself and fount out that it only work in OS xp not OS vista.

So is there any way I can mount my GUI up to the website without having to create an applet?

Thanks.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

If you do not want to create a Applet there are no reason to post your request here
This is the Java forum (not the Javascript forum) where we help people fixing problems in their Applets/Applications

In what did you created your GUI ? Go to the forum for that particular GUI language.

I created my GUI in java.

And i'm just asking if there is a way in implementing GUI into a website without the need to create an applet.

meaning, is there a way in making my java method into an application where ppl can use it without the need of downloading.
and it is not an applet.

You can't have the rich Swing GUI (fat client) embedded in a web page without using Applets. If you want to utilize Java's functionality (database app) with HTML and JS (thin client) you can use J2EE services. See Sun's J2EE tutorials. You can develop server side scripts in Java that will generate HTML on the fly. You can process HTML form data for database queries.
