My computer will not start. I have not downloaded anything today besides an itunes update. I restarted it earlier today and it was fine.
I returned to my computer to find that it would not turn back on after sleep mode. So I tried turning off the computer then restarting it.
Well, it will not start. The blue "Hp Invent" screen come up with vertical lines through it, and then it changes to a black screen filled with a ton
of white exclamation points. After that it quickly pops up with some words overtop the exclamation points but as soon as the words pop up it
quickly changes to a black and white screen asking if I want to do a startup repair. So I did that and it came back saying it cannot repair. If you
don't do the startup repair the screen goes black and nothing else ever comes on.
I also tried hitting the F11 command when it is first trying to start so I could go into safe mode and do a system recover, but it does not work.
This computer is not even a year old and has never given any major errors. Any sugestions?

Is this a PC or laptop?
Try removing & reseating the memory. There are 3 core items required to get the BIOS splash screen, the cpu, the motherboard, & the memory. So anything that has an effect prior to the OS is going to be one of these devices.
If this is a PC, & the memory thing doesn't fix it, I would check hp's website for an update to their BIOS. It is possible that a virus attacked the BIOS, or that it somehow became corrupt. The chances of this are very very small though. Be sure to read ANY documentation provided by HP to updated the BIOS before you continue, because if it is not performed correctly, the entire motherboard will need to be replaced.

It is a PC. And I cannot get it to start at all.
I looked up the BIOS thing. I didn't really see anything.

It is still doing the same thing that I said in the beginning. But I did however do the startup repair and after that it gave me another option and i did a system restore to yesterday in case it was the itunes update. After the system restore finished and it tried to restart it still does the same thing as I mentioned first. the blue HP invent symbol screen comes up, then it just does the exclamation points screen and then turns all black.

Okay so I was able to turn it on and take some pictures of the screens. Even the words/ exclamation point words when they pop up really fast. The words do not make sense. Also I took the picture of the HP invent screen with Lines.
the third picture is when i try to go to boot menu.
here are the pictures

Yeah, one of your components are damaged, or has a poor connection.
I would tear apart the entire computer & make sure any cards (video, network) & system memory are correctly seated. If you are 100% certain that nothing was loose, (as previously stated) I would suggest that you update the system BIOS. If none of that fixes it, I would look into replacing components.

Google your board, you can usually find instructions on how to flash your BIOS.
