Hi
I'm having trouble finding out which AGP x version does my system support. By the way the system I'm reffering to is an AMD athlon Xp 2000 +. While runnning some of the recent games like Farcry,Painkiller,
Battlefield Vietnam etc system messages like " Hardware [email protected] not found" "System requirements not satisfied" etc are encountered.
So I decided to go in for a graphics card. I've checked upon my PC's motherboard and found the AGP slot .There's also this VIA chipset which is handling the graphics part of my PC.
On further checking up here and there I found out that there exist different versions of the AGP card namely AGP1x,AGP2x,AGP4x..... and the latest i.e. AGP 8x.
Now the problem is which one of these versions does my PC support.
I've tried my vendor but in vain.
Anybody out there if u can kindly help me out. Also pl mention the brand of the AGP card you're recommending i.e. Nvidia,ATI Raedon etc
Thanks & Regards

Well To answer your question fully I need some more information.
What motherboard are you using. (make and model)
What operating system
What version of Direct X is installed
How much memory is installed
and then I will be able to provide the info you require
