exceed, shut the fuck up. why do you feel the need to respond to everything and anything, even if your response yields absolutely no help to the topic at hand. a topic was even started in the lounge which stated "DO NOT RESPOND TO TOPICS IF YOUR RESPONSE DOESN'T AID THE TOPIC." yet you continue to be a fuck head.

you've been a member for a little over a month, and you managed to pull over 500 posts out of your ass. how? because the majority of your posts are bullshit. if all you have to say is "lol" accompanied by some useless, poorly constructed sentence, don't post. period.

yes i fully understand the irony of making this post in this particular topic, it needed to die anyways.

There is no diversity here, if you can write a sentence that people can understand, you're welcome to participate. If you can't form a sentence in english and I have to struggle to read what you write... IT'S NOT FUN ANYMORE!!!!!

I have no problem with people who speak/type english as a second language, but there is a point where it's just not enjoyable to read. If that's the case... maybe this isn't the community for you. Sorry.

Any particular reason that the "Post Top" and "Add Reply" buttons are on the left side of the column? I'm always searching for them on the right side, it seems awkward to me.

Chris the only feedback I really have is this, I think you and your staff have created a kick ass community here in </dream.in.code>, its got great content, easy to navigate, you do a great job recognizing those who really do their best to contribute to the community, and other than a few "problems" with a couple "regulars" everyone seems to be very friendly, especially Amadeus, who was the first to greet me and get me the footer template.

I really don't see a whole helluva lot you can change to make it better. Since I found DIC (I'm a member at other programming communities) Ive spent the majority of my time here, I mean I still do my articles and posts there, just not at the level they were before I found DIC.

Keep up the great work guys!

Ooops.... Okay, I think some of what I said was a typo, and the rest probably wasn't as clear as I wanted it to be.

When creating a new post, or adding a reply, the "Add Reply" or "Post Topic" buttons on the post creating page are on the left side of the column. I did a quick check with my other browsers, and the same thing happens.

Attached would be a screen snippet of what I am seeing.

My feedback :
How helpful have our members been when you've had a programming/web dev problem? Is there anything you would change to make how we help people better?
- Martyr2 the best I've met so far, being so polite in helping others. I would not state the name here, but I find that some of the DIC staff being a bit harsh. yes, it's my fault, but please dont be so harsh, it scares people. other than that, I'm happy to learn new things here everyday.

Have you hesitated before posting because you didn't know if something was against the rules? Has this discouraged you from posting in the Caffeine Lounge?
- yes. skyhawk, where do you put the forum rules? I cant seem to find it anywhere.

Did you feel welcome as a new member? Were the replies you received friendly?
- 1st question, yes. to the latter, most of it, yes.

How do you perceive the overall attitude of the site? (Friendly, childish, mean, Fun, etc.)
- just nice :D

Have you visited the Caffeine Lounge? If you have not posted in the Lounge, please let us know why not
- I visit it almost everyday.

Is the information on dream.in.code well organized and easy to understand? Are we missing any topics, or are any of the topics to broad?
- I cant comment on this yet. I'm still a beginner, so it's just normal that I find many things hard to understand.

suggestion :
1) how about take all the tutorials written so far, and compile it all in pdf? all-in-one for those(especiall total newbies) who want to learn that language.
2) make a programming challenge every month or so, divided by level of knowledge. so that no expert would go and take part in challenges designed for beginner. prize : new badge like 'Programming Challenger (Beginner,Intermediate,Expert) Winner' will do. ;)

Thanks for the feedback.

I am aware of the problem with the staff coming off more aggressively than they should at times. This is something we are working to fix.

I like the idea of the PDF with tutorials, or even code snippets. It's something we've looked at in the past and may get around to in the future.

I'm new here, but I'd like to join in the DIC love (ahem) that seems to be going on in this thread. I enjoy reading the solutions other people post, even for technologies I'm not familiar with, because they're very well written and interesting. I've not really received any direct help myself so far, I suspect my one and only question was unanswerable, but there will come a time I'm sure.

I strongly approve of the no homework policy. It may alienate the occasional poster, but I think those that are prepared to try for themselves take it with good grace, and learn all the better for it. For me, it increased the early appeal of the site and has caused me to stick around.

Keep up the good work folks :^:
