I am building a new website and I want to design a header in gimp. I want to make two headers and use Javascript to make the one fade out and the other take it's place is this possible. I do not want buy flash to do this I thought I could do it through programming it myself. B)

You could do this with jQuery from what I understand. I think I will move this to that sub-forum.

How exactly do you want it to work? The current fades out while the new fades in or the current fades out and then the new fades in or the current fades out and current just pops up in the old ones place, or the current just disappears and new fades in? :) It has quite a bit importance actually!

If they should fade in and out simultaneously you would have to work with both animation and positioning/placement, if one would disappear before the other even shows you would only have to bother about the animation part that is really simple with jQuery! :)
