Well it seems that if you already have a gmail account you can get into orkut.
I personally haven't any success so far. I keep getting "Bad, bad server. No dounut for you."
Why anyone would want to signup for this thing anymore is way beyond me.

it's weird how they make it look like you can sign in with a gmail account and then when you do they drop it and ask for an orkut account. dumb.
