Fast help needed

Posted 16 October 2009 - 11:01 AM

I don't have access to installing applications or to the ODBC, so I've got to do this via queries.

What I'm looking for, is a command or something for MySQL that will allow me to export my entire database into a file that SQL Server can use.

The database and tables are not setup on SQL Server.

I have tried using mysqldump to create an sql file, but when I run the file in SQL Server it complains about the syntax.

Is there another method by which I can transfer my data from MySQL to SQL Server that will create the databases and tables, and fill in the tables with my data? We're talking about a lot of tables spread across 6 databases, so manually creating the databases and tables isn't really an option.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Look into SSIS packages and the Import Data feature within MSSQL
