Posted 25 October 2009 - 05:26 PM

It's been almost 3 days since i posted in the snippets section, and it's still not up! I don't care if this is in the wrong forum, i just need answers. Just because I'm new here doesn't mean i dont know anything about C++. :v:

In the words of KYA and Sloth......

el oh el

Come on man, it has been 3 days. And not to mention over a weekend where people MIGHT be off doing other things. I think they do a fabulous job of making sure things get posted in a reasonable amount of time. Ask again after like a week at least. 3 days is nothing.

CodeBuster submitting a snippet doesn't guarantee that it will be accepted.
It has to check to see if it isn't plagiarised from somewhere else, does it also met the snippet quidelines.

Plus you'll be waiting forever since I see no code snippet submitted be you in any language, in the pending queue.

I rejected it, as it simply showed how to use break, and as such doesn't really meet our snippet standards.

Well thanks anyway, I'm not upset at all. You just keep doing your job and everything will be ok!

Do we get feedback (as in automated PM, or otherwise) when a snippet gets rejected/approved?

You should actually get a PM when the snippet gets rejected with the detailed reason.

That functionality might not be working. I submitted two snippets some time ago, one to javascript and one to actionscript. The javascript one was approved a few days ago, but there's no sign of the actionscript one.

As thehat indicated, this doesn't seem to be the case, as the OP had to inquire here to find out that his snippet was indeed rejected. I suspect mine must have been as well, but I didn't get any feedback either.

Yah..same with the one I submitted to Java 2 weeks ago, and the one to Python 5 days ago, but I am not worried about it. I know that I do still think that maybe the system has potentially been broken, because I have no PMs either.

All Snippets and Tutorials are reviewed by hand. They are also checked for quality and suitability by a Team Member who knows the language it is submitted in, which is why sometimes there is a delay to on the decision.

JackOfAllTrades as already mentioned the reason your snippet wasn't accepted, CodeBuster

The Team would like your patience and understanding after submitting Tutorials & Snippets.
