Posted 29 October 2009 - 07:45 AM

i have ubuntu 6.06 (i got it from my teacher thinking my old desktop tower made for win98 would run faster lol) i want the newest kubuntu, but i dont have an internet connection at my house. what should i do to get the newest version? i also need driver installers for my sandisk U3 for the ubuntu... please tell me where i can get these things. also, would linux mint be more efficient than ubuntu/kubuntu for a win98 desktop?

code blocks

and you'll need an internet connection to get pretty much anything. You could order a free live Cd but that's 6-8 weeks at best.

From the command prompt type which gcc, & chances are you already have it.

It's sort of like Dorothy & the ability to go home. You've always had the power to compile C/C++ ....

I have code blocks already, but I cant run it on my ubuntu OS. also, none of my .exe's are working. should I pull all of my files off of my flashdrive onto a stable computer OS, format my drive on my linux and then put the files back on? I've heard that will work, but I haven't had time to try it out...
