I saw this article today. I think it's a good idea.

I emailed my sister a while ago with a list of sites I visit & my username, asking her to let people know if I die. Have any of you done anything like this?

What do you think about it?

i probably wouldn't care because i would be dead and all. but since the real world and the internet world converge more every day, i'm sure everyone would figure it out.

plus, everyone in real life would say goodbye on my facebook wall cause that's what people do, and all you guys would see it. plus, topher would know and prolly fill you guys in.

I'm sure they would figure it out once I never came back online. Not sure I would really care if people knew I was dead. What, with me being dead and all.

I wouldn't trust anyone with my username and password. Also, if I died, it would be in all newspapers all over the world.

Ya not giving up my passwords they will figure it out but, on a similar note if your planning your death you can shop at walmart for caskets and urns now!

Some would, some wouldn't. Depends on if you know me IRL. Most likely though, someone would send an email, or call everyone on my phone, and then the word would get out!

No, I didn't mean that you should give out your password. But everyone here can see your username, and we all know you are a member of DIC. So if one of us knew you IRL we could let everyone know what happened.

I have scripts on my servers to delete everything if there is no activity after 72 hours.

but holy shit, 72 hours?! you don't ever plan on taking a vacation? i'd got at least 2 or 3 weeks on something like that.
